When was the last time you tied a good one on?

For years now, the name Erie Dearie has been synonymous with boats, wind, waves and huge catches of one of the most sought after fresh water fish, the walleye.

On January 1, 2001, Erie Dearie acquired Hog Hunter manufacturing, with this merger the company is now positioned to gain a stronger market share with a greater diversification of fishing tackle. Hog Hunter Game-fish jigs, Grubs, Plastics, Bass Spinner-baits, and the new lures developed by both companies such as, Bucktail Villain, Bass Villain, AMMO Weight and the Just Fishing Harness have now been added to the Erie Dearie product line for 2002. "Not only will this extend our presence in the market place, but now with both companies experience and technology, we have the capabilities of customizing a clients ideas and concepts to fit their niche markets", said Dan Galbincea, President and Director of Operations.

Not to worry, we will continue to manufacture and market the Original Erie Dearie lure now in a new package, in addition to the Hog Hunter line of products for today's fisherman and tackle box. The Original Erie Dearie lure was developed and patented by Captain Dan in the late 50's and promoted in the early 60's, and is famous as one of the most popular lures of the Great Lakes region that has spread to a nationally known bait. A fisherman would not be caught out on a lake with out a few in his tackle box.

In 1996, after the loss of Captain Dan, the family assumes operations, bringing new ideas and products such as the Erie Dearie Harness, Weapon, and the AmBASSadear to meet the growing demands of a market. Five years later, another complete line of fine fishing products has been added to the business.

The name Erie Dearie hooked a nation on the sport of fishing.

With such accolades for the history of Erie Dearie, we look forward to upholding the traditions and values of Captain Dan's Erie Dearie that made it a world-renowned legend.
